Advanced Jet Training

Advanced Jet Training instructs pilots who have the desire to improve their aviation and safety skills necessary to proficiently fly the L39 jet, while employing transferable expertise on preventing upset or unusual attitudes in the aircraft they typically fly.

Our Mission

Our highly experienced instructors with extensive experience from F-15’s to commanding the Space Shuttle, flying the A-10, F-5, and with the USAF Thunderbirds, and instructing in F-111s, T-37/38’s, and F-16’s, guide you through a phased approach in understanding the operational scope of high performance aircraft handling which results directly in smarter, more proficient, highly trained pilots for any corporate or personal flight regime.

AJT’s desire to promote aviation safety through quality instruction is the backbone of our instruction. Our goal is to ensure pilots graduating from AJT can recognize and recover from all upset/unusual flight attitudes, and they are safer pilots as a result of our operational training.

Instruction

Advanced Jet Training utilizes NASA and military driven syllabus ground instruction, reinforced with classroom and aircraft one-on-one training culminating and supported by detailed preflight briefings and post flight debriefing techniques.

After engaging in the instruction syllabus, AJT client pilots demonstrate through oral and written exams that they understand the operational requirements to safely operate the L39 and transfer the practical knowledge, skill, and techniques to safely operate any high performance aircraft in all flight regimes.

Pilots applying for AJT training must possess a minimum of a Private Pilot Certificate (Single Engine Land), Third Class Medical Certificate and a minimum 500 hours total time.

Syllabus

Upset and Operational syllabi include three hours of ground instruction coupled with three hours of flight instruction preparing the pilot for VMC and IMC operations.

Training is scalable to the pilot experience level with the goal of maximizing the learning environment and lessons learned in a high performance environment that translates to corporate or private flying.

Additionally, we offer basic and advanced formation instruction as well as low level flying training.

What Pilots Say About Our Courses

Upset training should be on every pilot's proficiency checklist. Talking about it is never the same as doing it. This team makes it real.
